KATHMANDU, Nov 22: ABB, a technology company manufacturing power grid, electrification products, industrial automation and robotics and motion, on Wednesday organized a workshop on its newest technologies in Kathmandu.
The event mainly targeted executives and officials of Nepali companies, according to a statement issued by the company. "Executives and officials of different companies and industries such as utilities, transport and infrastructure sectors engaged in a series of workshops with ABB experts," the company said. On the sidelines of the workshop, the company also showcased its latest technologies.
Similarly, roundtable discussions were also held with key companies from the utilities and industry segments. ABB has a history of providing technology solutions and systems for various hydro projects in the country from unified automation systems, digital governors, synchronizers and various other power management solutions, according to the statement.
Lower Modi, Panauti, Sankoshi and Puwa Khola are some of the projects the company is associated with.
