All purpose cleaner
Mix vinegar and salt for a good table top, glass or any other surface cleaner. To clean glass, you can also mix equal amounts of vinegar and water in a spray bottle and wipe with paper for a streak free shine.[break]
To clean your kitchen or bathroom counter tops, pour some vinegar on a damp sponge, add some baking soda and scrub away.
Removing grease spots
Pour salt immediately on grease spots to absorb the grease and avoid staining. Salt works wonders in preventing upholstery from staining when you accidently spill something on it.
Unclogging the drain
For a clogged drain, pour a handful of baking soda down the drain and then add half a cup of vinegar. Rinse with hot water after half an hour.
Removing scratches
Mix equal parts of lemon juice and vegetable oil and rub against scratches with a soft cloth and watch deep scratches fade and light ones completely disappear.
Deodorizer
Place partially filled saucers of vinegar around the room to eliminate any kind of smell. Baking soda is also excellent for absorbing odors. Place sachets of baking soda around the bathroom or in your shoe closet for an odor free area.
