JANAKPUR, March 16: A person who performed polygamy in Saptari has been jailed.


Surendra Khang, 24, of Chhinnamasta Rural Municipality-2, was jailed by the order of District Court, Saptari.

According to Manjudevi Khang's complaint, on December 25, 2019, the district court in Saptari sentenced him to imprisonment for one year and two months for polygamy. He had been absconding since the court verdict.


DSP Naresh Kumar Singh said that he was arrested on  March 14, presented at the district court the next day and sent to the district jail Rajbiraj to serve his term.
