My grandmother always reminded me about the importance of trees, and explained how without them our lives would be worthless. They give us air. Every season they gift us with their beauty enriching a place with aesthetic value. With their fruits, they feed us and their shades protect us from heat and rains alike. Like the trees, we have different seasons in our lives. Sometimes we blossom like flowers while at other times we are only branches but that does not mean that there is no life because with the new bud comes a new beginning.

After the cold winter, the trees look bare but with spring there comes life once again. Spring is a season known for being full of colors and evoking happiness. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Nature always wears the color of spirit.” Once again as is tradition every year, the city is painted in hues of purple and blue so deep that you don’t just see it, you smell it, you feel it and you fall in love with it. The jacaranda tree is refreshing the city with its lively color. The jacaranda whose scientific name is Mimosifolia encourages one to pause, absorb and forget all the pollution, stress and chaos of the city life.

Nature is soul. For some nature is an empty canvas while for many it’s a beautiful piece of art. It is a gift we must treat with utmost respect, care and love.

In the words of Albert Einstein, “Look deep into the nature and you will understand everything better”.
