BHAKTAPUR, July 5: A man in his forties has been found dead in a Jasmine forest in Sirutar at Suryabinayak Municipality-1 of Bhaktapur. According to the police, the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
A team of police personnel led by Prani Panchalal Gole from Metropolitan police Circle, Thimi was dispatched at the incident site along with an investigation officer. The deceased was found wearing a green jacket, an orange half-pant, black shoes and a medical bandage wrapped in his left hand. A wire was found tied to the deceased’s neck, which was connected to a broken branch of a nearby tree.

Information Officer of the Metropolitan Police Circle, Thimi, Dipak Giri said the person could have been murdered some five to seven days as the body was emitting a foul smell. The body has been taken for post mortem at the KMC Hospital in Duwakot, Bhaktapur after examining the scene and the nature of the corpse.
Further investigation is currently underway into the incident. Police said not a single family member or relative of the deceased have come into their contact.
