BHAKTAPUR, Sept 11: Three members of a family in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality in Bhaktapur have been found dead in a mysterious condition. They were found dead in their own three-storied building in the Nikosera area of the municipality, according to police.
Those found dead have been identified as Sudip Adhikari, 36, his wife Samjhana, 34, and their 15-year-old Sushant. Their pet dog has also been found dead, according to Chief of Metropolitan Police Circle Office, Thimi, Rishi Ram Kandel.
One found dead in mysterious condition in hotel room
Police said they have initiated an investigation as the dead bodies have been found in suspicious condition. Police have concluded that this could be the incident of murder.
According to Sunil Adhikari, the younger brother of the deceased Sudip, the dead bodies of Samjhana and the pet dog were found on the second floor, while the dead body of his niece Sushant was found on the third floor. Sudip was found dead on the top floor of the house.
Preliminary investigation has shown that the three must have been murdered a few days ago. Police is yet to get any clue when and how the murder was committed.
Superintendent of Police Tara Devi Thapa of Metropolitan Police Range Office, Bhaktapur, Chief of Metropolitan Police Crime Division SSP Dipak Thapa as well as other senior police officials had earlier visited the incident sites to expedite the investigation process.
