MORANG, Feb 8: A man has been arrested for allegedly raping his daughter-in-law.
A man from Sunwarshi municipality of Morang was arrested by Morang police on the charge of raping his daughter-in-law.
Man arrested on the charge of raping a minor
The 25-year-old daughter-in-law filed a complaint against her 58-year-old father-in-law at the local police office in Rangeli, Sunwarshi on Tuesday. According to DSP Tika Bahadur Karki at the District Police Office, Morang, the father-in-law was arrested from his home by the Amardaha police station team after the complaint was registered.
According to the police, the daughter-in-law filed a complaint against her father-in-law at Area Police Office, Rangeli, saying that her father-in-law had raped her at home on February 22, 2022.
DSP Karki said that the investigation of the incident was started on Wednesday after the court extended the deadline to file the rape case and the victim's health was examined in Biratnagar.
