BHAKTAPUR, June 9: Police arrested a man on the charge of repeatedly raping an 11-year-old girl on Friday.
Sunil Bishwokarma, 31, residing at Balkot of Suryabinayak Municipality-3, Bhaktapur, was arrested on the charge of repeatedly raping the minor from April 12 to June 2.

According to SP Prajit KC at District Police Office, Bhaktapur, Bishwokarma was arrested from the park in front of Lagankhel Batuk Bhairav in Lalitpur Metropolitan City. He said that a team of Police Inspector Bir Bahadur Budhayer, who was deployed to arrest him, nabbed him at 12:30 noon.
Police investigation revealed that Bishwokarma had repeatedly raped the minor, the most recent assault occurring on June 2 at around 5:30 pm in the rented apartment of the convict in Suryabinayak Municipality-3, Balkot. He had been absconding since then. Police said that further investigation is currently underway.
