KATHMANDU, Oct 9: Police have arrested an individual on the charge of raping a minor at Bagmati corrider in Sahayoginagar, Baneshwar, on Wednesday.
A team of police from the Metrolitan Police Circle, New Baneshwar, arrested 43-year-old Durge BK, a permanent resident of Dang, on the charge of raping aa seven-year-old by cajoling her into a bush at the corridor.
Revised interest rate corridor system introduced
The Kathmandu District Court has remanded BK into custody for seven days allowing the police to investigate the charges against him.
“Following a complaint filed by the alleged victim’s family, police arrested BK to investigate the charges against him,” said Superintendent of Police, Somendra Singh Rathaur, spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Range, Teku.
“The alleged victim has been sent to the hospital for medical checkup. The result is awaited,” he said.
