Home is where the heart is and heart is where the foods are. A well run restaurant is like a winning baseball team.

It makes the most of every crew member’s talent and takes advantage of every split-second opportunity to speed up service. [break]

And, if we are talking about food, varieties, service, comfort and hospitality together, Tangerine Food Court, also known as Bawarchi Naxal, is one such place in town that one should not miss to be at.

It’s no more Baryo Fiesta in Naxal and it’s not just about continental and Nepali delicacies. The joint effort of Sanjay Nangia and Bisharad Shah, Tangerine Food Court resides beautifully where Baryo Fiesta was a few years ago. The peaceful courtyard stretches to four different corners with each featuring different cuisines uniquely.

While the outlet is run in a food court style, the best part of the restaurant is that you don’t have to line up for a food coupon at each counter and you don’t have to serve yourself your delicacy. Pick any table you like, you will have a full-fledged menu before you and some polite voices will follow your orders immediately. You can order foods from all four restaurants from any corner you feel like.

The foods are so scrumptious and indulging that sometimes the menu leaves you all flummoxed. Tangerine Food Court’s menu looks like a mini encyclopedia featuring wholesome goodies from Thailand, India, China, and Nepal alongside serving exotic cocktails from places around the world. Gone are the days when you had to wait for hours to get your cuisines before you. At Tangerine, be it Tom Yam Kai, Katti Rolls, Choyila-Bara or a Platter, you get it right before you, before you start complaining. The good thing is all your menu comes together, making you save your valuable time. Because there are individual kitchens at each corner for different cuisines, the foods will come out quick immediately.

What also makes this food court a must-visit is its ambience, which is uniquely designed within a courtyard that opens to a peaceful terrace where you can host parties up to one hundred people. The Nasha Bar in the middle of the courtyard adds a neo-classic feeling while the seat arrangements are cozy and homely.

For those who like to cherish their privacy can get themselves comfy at the indoor setting, right in front of the main entrance while those who like to take a fresh breath while dining, sky is the roof at the center of the food court. And those who desire to be pampered in a lush manner, the wooden chairs and glass tables placed to the left side of the restaurant is the most welcoming place to be.

The Bawarchi corner promises you to serve the authentic flavors of Bawarchi brands, like Katti Rolls and Chicken Biryani. The Royal Thai counter takes you to a real trip of Thailand while the Tangerine outlet at the food court offers you the splendid mixtures of Chinese spices. Oye Kathmandu is another part of the eatery that serves you the fresh organic salads along with many more goodies for veggies, while Pizza Express promises you the best pizzas in town to taste, and Feast brings before you all what it takes to define Newar delicacies.

Upcoming are Hooka Bar and an extended lounge at the food court, which the promoters say will be ready very shortly. Not to miss are the large projectors (16x14’) placed at three corners of the restaurant to make you all sing Wakka Wakka with Shakira while cheering up for your favorite team of this World Cup tournament. Tangerine Food Court will bring Sufi nights for music lovers as soon as the World Cup comes to end on July 12.

With ample parking space, Tangerine is an absolutely suitable place to dine not only because it has sea of cuisines but also because it located at the heart of the city, yet peaceful, and the Nepal Police Headquarter right next to it makes it one of the safest places to go for a memorable dinner. So what are you waiting for? The weekend has come to stay here again. Organize a get together for a perfect dining alongside a live World Cup experience and get your summer cocktails by your side. While you will be betting for Brazil and the Netherlands tonight, your World Cup experience will be livened up by the waiters who will don themselves into the jerseys of these competing teams.
