Kathmandu Valley records 45 new cases of COVID-19

KATHMANDU, July 30: Kathmandu Valley has recorded 45 new cases of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Thursday, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

According to Dr Jageshwar Gautam, the spokesperson for the MoHP, 41 new cases of COVID-19 in Kathmandu district and two each in Bhaktapur and Lalitpur districts were confirmed on Thursday.

Of 41 fresh cases detected in Kathmandu district, 19 were confirmed in National Public Health Laboratory, 13 in Sukraraj Tropical Hospital and four in Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, three in Nepal Police Hospital and two others in Star Hospital.

Likewise, two news cases detected in Bhaktapur were confirmed in National Public Health Laboratory, while two cases reported in Lalitpur were confirmed in Star Hospital.

Meanwhile, The Health Ministry recorded three more COVID-19 related deaths and 274 fresh cases across the nation in the past 24 hours.
