RAUTAHAT, Oct 28: Police have arrested two people from Sarlahi along with a large quantity of drugs. Among the arrested are Rose Mohammad, 22, of Ishwarpur Municipality-5, Pokhara and Devendra Das, 37, of the same municipality-2.
A joint team from District Police Office, Rautahat and Drug Control Bureau Branch Office, Birgunj, arrested the two from Chandrapur in Rautahat on the basis of information that there was a large quantity of drugs.
Drugstore operator arrested for selling illegal drugs
According to the Rautahat Police, 3,000 tablets of the drug Nitrazepam were found in 10 packets hidden in a bag carried by Rose Mohammad at Chandranigahapur Chowk along the East-West Highway in Chandrapur Municipality-4 of Rautahat.
During interrogation, Rose Mohammad, who was found with a large quantity of drugs on Tuesday night, had said that the drugs belonged to Devendra Das. Police subsequently arrested Devendra from Chandranighapur itself.
According to the District Police Office, Rautahat, the arrested persons have been remanded in judicial custody on Wednesday.
