Wife of ex-royal secy stabbed

KATHMANDU, Oct 5: The wife of the former royal palace secretary Sagar Timalsina was injured when she was attacked by two unidentified persons on Monday morning at her residence in New Baneshwar. [break]



According to police, Sushma, 47, was assaulted while she was watching television in the sitting room at around 11:30 a.m. She was alone when the incident took place. Sushma sustained injuries in neck and stomach due to stabbing and is being treated at Kantipur Hospital. "She was attacked by two persons one of whom she remembered as having long hair," said DSP Dilip Chaudhary of Metropolitan Police Circle, New Baneshwar. She is out of danger.



Chaudhary said details of the incident have not yet been obtained as Sushma could only tell it only after she becomes able to speak about it and also because there was no eyewitness.



Sagar, as a secretary, had taken charge of the property fund of the then Narayanhiti Royal Palace till the abolition of monarchy from the nation.
