SARLAHI, March 23: A man in Sarlahi stabbed his wife to death on Thursday following a dispute. According to Area Police Office (APO), Barahathawa, Ramji Bishwakarma, 30, of Surunga Municipality of Udayapur, who was currently living in a rented room in Barahathawa Municipality-5, killed his wife Sunita, 33, using a ~IKhukuri~I (a sharp weapon).
It has been learnt that the incident occurred at around 10:30 pm. Sunita who died on the spot had sustained injuries on her neck, hands, legs and various other parts of her body.
In a family fit, husband stabs wife
After murdering his wife, Ramji tried to run away but police managed to arrest him. As stated by their neighbors, Ramji and his wife Sunita often quarreled with each other. Ramji worked as a craftsman at a jewelry shop named Amar Jewelers in Barahathawa Bazar while Sunita was a teacher at Chakra Janata Bahumukhi Campus of the same local unit.
They tied the nuptial knot 13 years ago but have no children yet. It was the second marriage for Sunita. Her parental home is in Baharahathawa-5. Sunita has a 15-year-old daughter from her first husband who lives in Kathmandu with her father. Her daughter had visited her mother especially to celebrate the Holi festival.
