NC leader dies in motorcycle accident

ILAM, Feb 12: A district-level leader of Nepali Congress (NC) died in a motorcycle accident occurred Thursday night at Barbote in Ilam district along the Mechi Highway.

The District Police Office said that 37-year-old Mahesh Karki of Ilam Municipality-5, who was arriving in Ilam from Panchthar district by a motorcycle (Me 7 Pa 509), died on his way to the district hospital after the incident.

Karki was elected as the member of the party's Ilam Constituency No. 3 recently from the district convention. RSS
