8th Korean Film Festival kicks off

KATHMANDU, OCT 1: The Korean Film Festival, organized by the embassy of the Republic of Korea, kicked off on Monday at the Russian Culture Centre in Kamal Pokhari in Kathmandu. The first day of the festival saw Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Posta Bahadur Bogati, Hirdayesh Tripathi and Keshab Man Shakya along with the ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal, Il Doo Kim and other officials from the embassy. “As we are all aware, movies reflect the people and the society in which they live. I hope our Nepalis friend will become more familiar with the Korean people and the society through this film festival,” said Il-Doo Kim. , “To make a good relationship tie with the Koreans and Nepalis is the main aim of this festival,” said Ananda Gurung, Hydroelectric/Economic Specialist at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.

The festival, which is showing casing movies till October 5, 2012 at the Russian Culture Center, is free of cost and first come, first serve basis.

Oct 2, Tuesday 11 am/2 pm Pace Maker/Papa

Oct 3, Wednesday 11 am/2 pm Officer of the Year/ A Reason to Live

Oct 4, Thursday 11 am/ 2 pm Pace Maker/Papa

Oct 5, Friday 11 am/2 pm Officer of the Year/ A Reason to Live
