In the memorandum submitted to the DAO, the UDMF also condemned the suppression of peaceful protest and assembly by the police and demanded action against the security personnel involved in suppressing the movement.
Putting forth a set of demands, the UDMF cadres had earlier staged demonstrations in the East-West Highway and in front of the DAO of Malangwa.
Earlier on Thursday, Rita Sah of Haripur VDC-6, who had come to her maternal home in Nawalpur, died of heart attack immediately after she saw demonstrators running helter-skelter following a dozen rounds of police firing, according to the locals and UDMF leaders.
After the DAO told the UDMF the procedures for declaration of martyr cannot be forwarded without postmortem, the body was then taken to the district hospital.
The local administration, which had earlier denied that the woman had died during demonstration, has agreed to move forward their demand based on the report of the postmortem.
