Bhagawati BK, 18, and Sanjamaya BK, 15, of Pain, Bulung-7, were buried while digging out red clay to color their houses, according to District Police Office.
Chhegu Tamang, who accompanied the deceased, could save her life crawling out of the mound, local Rekha Thakuri informed.
According to Police Sub-Inspector Shikhar Nath Kafle, a police team from the Singati Police Beat has been deployed to the incident site.
