80% Chitwan hotel booked for new year

CHITWAN, April 13: With the New Year 2072 BS just a day away, most of the hotels here have witnessed higher influx of tourists, leading to the booking of 80 percent hotels.

Most of the hotels at Sauraha, Jagatpur and Meghauli have been reserved by the domestic and foreign tourists.Sauraha alone has more than 97 hotels while 17 in Jagatpur and four in Meghauli.

All of the hotels in Chitwan are capacious for only 2,700 tourists, said Suman Ghimire, Acting Chairman of Regional Hotel Association Sauraha.

Managing Director at Hotel Seven Star of Sauraha, Madhav Duwadi, said his hotel was packed for four days from today. Comparatively, the tourists' arrival has upped this year, he added.

Public Relation Officer at Kasara Jungle Resort, Sagar Poudel, also said his resort was booked till Sunday evening.

With the growing number of tourists in Chitwan, the industrialists have realized the need to expand business and augment quality service. RSS
