8 Nepalis awarded Paragon Fellowship

KATHMANDU, Nov 10: Eight Nepali entrepreneurs have been selected for the annual Paragon Fellowship 2009 (formerly known as Asia Pacific Future 100). The Foundation for Youth Social Entrepreneurship (FYSE) selected 100 candidates for the fellowship on Tuesday.



Jivan Kumar Baral of Alternatives, Kanchan Jha of Sano Paila, Kumud Singh of Alpine Coffee Estate Pvt Ltd, Laxman Prasad Rimal of Technology Sales Pvt Ltd, Nimesh Ghimire of Invasive Education Program, Nirmal Thapa of Color Nepal, Pushpa Basnet of Early Childhood Development Center and Ram Prasad Rimal of Technology Sales Pvt Ltd have been selected with 49 young entrepreneurs from India, 11 from Philippines, 10 from Pakistan four from China and rest from Bangladesh, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Cambodia.



The FYSE said the fellowship to young entrepreneurs and social changemakers up to age of 30 years will project them as role models in order to inspire more youth to consider entrepreneurship as a career choice.
