He said some of the ruling parties in the present coalition have proposed Maoists to lead a new government.
“This government lacks a majority and will not last long,” Dahal said while speaking at a press meet at Nepalgunj organized by the Association of Revolutionary Journalists.
According to him, his party first wants to bring a resolution motion in the parliament against the “unconstitutional move” by president Ram Baran Yadav, and then register a no-confidence motion against the government.
“The government has fallen off the eyes of the people as it mostly incoprporates those who lost the elections,” he added.
The Maoist chairman also held the government responsible for the delay in the constitution writing.
Dahal also argued that Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal signed the trade treaty with India only after he publicly said that the prime minister´s visit has become unsuccessful. "But the treaty is still in the preliminary phase and there is nothing to cheer about."
Senior Maoist leaders including Chairman Dahal, Vice Presidents Dr Baburam Bhattarai and Narayankaji Shrestha, and General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa, among others are in Nepalgunj to train party cadres Seti-Mahakali, Bheri-Karnali and Tharuwan State committees.
