KATHMANDU, Oct 17: Kat Queens Kathmandu defeated Pokhara Paltan by 82 runs in the match played in Women Champions League at TU Cricket Ground on Thursday.
After having lost the toss, Kat Queens were invited to bat first. Conceding 5 wickets, they set a target of 153 runs. Captain Rubina Chhetri with her scintillating unbeaten knock of 83 runs off 67 dominated the batting line-up.
Chasing the target, Sita Rana Magar and Bindu Rawal of Pokhara Paltan, two high-scorer for their team could score only 17 and 13 runs.
To create the big-win, Saraswati Kumari and Apsari Begam of Kat Queens claimed 2 wickets each.
Five teams from different cities have been participating in the tournament that kicked off on Wednesday. The winner will receive cash prize of Rs 0.7 million
