KATHMANDU: About 25 youth vandalized 16 private vehicles at the parking lot of Hotel Everest in New Baneshwor in the capital at around 3.30 p.m. Tuesday. A hotel staff told myrepublica.com that three of the vandals were arrested by police. A policeman was injured in the course of arresting the assailants. The hotel staff said that the situation had
improved following the arrests. Sagarmatha FM, quoting the police, said that the assailants stormed the parking lot and started smashing windows of the vehicles all of a sudden.
The police said that the motive behind the attack is being investigated.
