BHADRAPUR, April 4: General Secretary of Nepali Congress Krishna Prasad Sitaula has said if the efforts for consensus-based constitution goof up again, the parties should be serious to adopt voting in the Constituent Assembly.

Inaugurating the regional gathering and orientation to Nepal Civil Servants' Union at Chandragadhi of Jhapa on Saturday, General Secretary Sitaula said time had come for all political parties to show further seriousness to deliver constitution to the people.

He urged all to be sure that Nepal would get a federal democratic and republican constitution. It has been difficult to ascertain what is right and what is wrong, as the country is undergoing political transition now.

According to him, unity among the democratic forces would help ensure the constitution as per people's aspiration.

On a different note, he said the bureaucracy, which is known as the permanent government, should deliver effective service to the people. The bureaucracy has tremendous role to make governance more systematic and respected, so that the people would feel change. RSS
