NA sets up windmills

KATHMANDU, Aug 9: Nepal Army Chief Rookmangud Katawal inaugurated the ´windmills´ constructed by the army to generate alternative energy inside the Military Academy at Nagarkot, a press release issued by the Directorate of Public Relations of the Nepal Army said on Sunday.



The release added that the 10 windmills can generate electricity from 1000 watt to 1300 watt. For this, the required wind speed is between 5 meter per second to 7.5 meter per second.



The NA had installed similar windmills in Jumla two years ago.
