74 more diagnosed with COVID-19 in Rautahat

RAUTAHAT, June 2: Seventy-four more individuals were diagnosed with COVID-19 in Rautahat on Tuesday.

RAUTAHAT, June 2: Seventy-four more individuals were diagnosed with COVID-19 in Rautahat on Tuesday.


Mahesh Shah, District Public Health Chief informed that three persons from Yamunamai Rural Municipality, 14 from Bhagwati Rural Municipality, 21 from Rajpur Municipality, one from Gadhimai Municipality, four from Paroha Municipality, 18 from Rajdevi Municipality and 13 from Gaur Municipality have contracted coronavirus.

“All the infected individuals are India-returnees and their health condition is normal,” he added.


With 74 more infections, the COVID-19 tally in Rautahat has spiked to 307.


The numbers of people in quarantine facilities in the district is increasing daily as the flow of migrant workers from India has not stopped. There are around 7,500 individuals in 26 different quarantine centers across the district.
