Sipradi, which defeated KIST Bank on Thursday, beat Nagarik (Nepal Republic Media) by six wickets on Friday at the TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.
Nagarik elected to bat and reached 59/3 in five overs as Roshan Budhathoki scored an unbeaten 29 runs off 18 balls. In reply, Sipradi reached 61 runs in four overs without losing any wicket. Dipesh Shrestha remained unbeaten on 29 runs off 17 balls.[break]
Similarly, Citizen Bank recorded its second straight win in Group H, the only group with four teams. Citizen, which defeated Machhapuchchhre on Thursday, beat Eastern Motors by 14 runs on Friday. Batting first, Citizen put up 86/2. Chasing the target, Eastern Motors could manage only 54/0 in five overs.
In the same group, Machhapuchchhre beat host Soaltee Crowne Plaza by 14 runs. Machhapuchchhre put up 90/1 in five overs as Sabin Shrestha scored an unbeaten 34 runs off eight balls. In reply, Soaltee reached only 76/0 in five overs despite Bikash Karn and Bibek Khadka´s unbeaten knocks of 35 and 32, respectively.
Nepal Bank, Nabil Bank, NIC Asia Bank, Civil Bank and ICFC Finance also registered victories on Friday.
Nepal Bank thrashed Commerz and Trust Bank by 45 runs. Gautam Rai scored 30 runs off 14 balls to guide Nepal Bank to 98/2 in five overs. Defending the target, Nepal Bank restricted Commerz and Trust to 53/1 in five overs.
Nabil Bank defeated Morang Auto by six wickets. Morang Auto scored 52 runs in five overs losing four wickets. In reply, Laxman Charan Joshi struck an unbeaten 34 runs off 14 balls as Nabil Bank raced to 54/0 in 3.4 overs.
NIC Asia Bank crushed Sanima Bank by 40 runs. NIC Asia scored 86/2 in five overs as Pravin Regmi hit an unbeaten 31 runs off 12 balls. In reply, Sanima could manage only 46 runs for the loss of four wickets in five overs. Sanima, which lost to Kantipur in its first match, crashed out of the tournament.
Civil Bank thrashed United Spirits by 84 runs. Civil put up a mammoth 109/2 in five overs and restricted United Spirits to 25/2 in five overs.
Likewise, ICFC Finance beat Siddhartha Bank by six wickets.
