Talking to Republica, Samundra Mahara, 47, of Arnama VDC shared that this was the perfect opportunity for women to do something for the country.
Thirty-seven year-old Aklash Chamar, said, “Women will get to show their potentials by working as temporary police. This would also earn them respect and money at the same time,” said Chamar.
Jali Bishwakarma, who recently completed her plus two examinations, says that if she gets recruited she would use the money she earns to finance her higher studies. “I will finance my higher education through the money I earn,” said Bishwakarma.
Siraha Police Office Chief Purna Chandra Joshi said the interest shown by women in being recruited as temporary police indicates the changing values of our society.
