Stall of organic, herbal tea pull visitors in droves

KATHMANDU, Oct 6: Stalls of tea, apparels and home appliances were the major crowd-pullers at Nagarik Dashain Maha Mela on Sunday - the third day of the four-day event being held at the Bhrikuti Mandap Exhibition Hall.



Pralhad Bogatee, managing director of Natural Herbs, said visitors are showing great interested toward new variety of herbal tea named Madhunashak Herbal Tea. “This product is especially for patients with diabetes. This tea gradually cures diabetes,” Bogatee, said, adding that many of his customers have stopped taking allopathic medicine. “As many as 5,000 people have visited our stall so far,” he said. Along with Madhunashak Herbal Tea, Natural Herbs is also showcasing other products such as soap and organic tea.



Similarly, Puspa Raj Khatiwada of Gazabko Organic Tea said he is overwhelmed with the number of visitors that his stall at the expo has drawn. “It seems that people are becoming conscious about their health. Many people are interested toward organic tea these days,” he added.



Prajjwol Kunwar, senior relationship officer of Rakura Tea, also said the Nagarik Dashain Maha Mela provided his company the platform to promote his products. “Many people are visiting our stalls and appreciating our products,” a beaming Kunwar told Republica.



The Nagarik Dashain Mahamela is being jointly organized by Nepal Republic Media (NRM) and Avid Investment and Services with an aim to cater to the needs of consumers ahead of the festive season.



According to the organizers, the event has drawn more than 200,000 till Sunday. The expo will conclude on Monday.
