Those dead in Jajarkot are Lalkali Singh of Nayakbada-4, Bale Chalaune, Ashaudi Chalaune and Chakmi Chalaune of Nayakbada-9, and 55-year-old Khati Thapa of Dandagaun-8. Himkali Pun, 35, of Daha-9 and her 10-year-old son Ram Bahadur also fell prey to the disease, according to the District Administration Office, Jajarkot.
With the seven deaths on Wednesday, the cholera and diarrhea toll in the district has reached 173. However, Chief District Officer (CDO) of Jajarkot Resham Bahadur Pandey said they have recorded only 149 deaths so far.
In Rukum, 62-year-old Tasveer Damai and four-year-old Kale Nepali of Aathbiskot-2 died of the disease on Wednesday, taking the death toll in the district to 40, according to the District Public Health Office.
