Sharma appointed Minister for Environment

KATHMANDU, July 29: In yet another cabinet expansion, Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal appointed Communist Party of Nepal (United) leader Thakur Sharma as the Minister for Environment on Wednesday, taking the size of the cabinet to 33.



Sharma was sworn in and assumed office on Wednesday itself.



The Ministry of Forest and Environment was split into two ministries to give the Ministry of Environment to CPN (United). Rashtriya Prajatantra Party was given the Ministry of Forest.
