Among the deceased, two died during treatment while a woman died on the spot. Those dead are identified as Phoolmati Soni, Ram Shankar Pandey and his wife Naharaniya Devi Pandey.
Two among the injured are in critical condition. Four Nepalis were also injured in the incident. Those injured are undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Medical Hospital and Bharatpur Hospital while Bishal Chand has been sent to Kathmandu, according to police.
The accident occurred after an Indian bus with registration plate MT 19 H 2334, heading for Madhya Pradesh from Kathmandu, and a Nepali bus with registration plate Na 3 Kha 370, en route to Kathmandu from Dhangadhi, collided head-on at Jayshree bridge.
