Butwal, May 19: Four people died and 48 others sustained injuries in a bus accident at Daunne of Nawalparasi district on Wednesday morning.
The deceased are two men and two women. Only one of the deceased has been identified so far as Kalpana Pun, 27, of Triveni Rural Municipality of West-Rukum, according to Inspector Bishu Nepal of Bhumahi Traffic Police.
Likewise, as many as 48 people including the driver sustained injuries in the accident. Of them, the health condition of four people has been reported to be critical.

The ill-fated bus, Na 5 Kha 2719, headed for West-Rukum from Balaju, Kathmandu met with the accident near Khorsang Khola of Daunne of Nawalparasi district earlier this morning at around 6.
The bus plunged some 200 meters down a cliff.
Preliminary investigation by the police has indicated over-speeding and carrying passengers beyond the capacity as the cause of the accident.
Most bus passengers were returning to their home district as the Kathmandu Valley is hugely hit by the second wave of COVID-19.
