According to Regmi´s press advisor Bimal Gautam, the meeting dwelt on recent political situation, ongoing talks with disgruntled political parties and ways to create more conducive environment for the polls.
Regmi met with the president before the government held discussions with leaders of an alliance-led by CPN-Maoist on Tuesday afternoon.
President Yadav has been urging the major four political forces -- UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress (NC) CPN-UML and United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) -- and the Interim Election Council to bring all disgruntled political parties on board the election process.
The Election Commission (EC) has already made it clear that it can accommodate the disgruntled political parties for the new CA election only if they arrived at consensus by August 16.
