DHANGADI, June 12: Regular flights to and from the Dhangadi airport began from today. The airport had been closed since May 5 for upgrading of the airstrip and parking zone.
Upgrading of the 900 meters of the 1,800 meters runaway has been completed and the remaining will be done during the night from coming June 16, said chief of the airport Tej Bahadur Thapa. The airport will now be open from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. The expansion of the parking way will allow parking of four aircraft at one time.
