65 schools in Sunsari declared peace zones

ITAHARI, Sept 5: Twenty more schools in Sunsari district have been declared peace zones on Friday. Forty-five schools were declared peace zones in a similar fashion seven months ago after political outfits and their sister organizations started using students to enforce strikes and closures.



“Political parties and their sister organizations used students for their programs before the declaration,” human rights activist Ram Koirala said, adding that students would be able to continue their studies smoothly following the declaration.
