BABIYACHAUR (Myagdi), June 17: The Beni-Jomsom road that links the trans-Himalayan district of Mustang to the rest of the country remains obstructed due to the rise in the water level in the Kaligandaki River following incessant rains.

Vehicles cannot operate as the road has been submerged due to the rise in the level of river water at a place called Bhirkate between Histan and Ghar VDCs in Myagdi district. The road became inoperable since Sunday. Vehicles have been stranded as a result.

Transport to all the VDCs in Mustang and 10 VDCs in north Myagdi has been cut off due to this and the pilgrims heading to and returning from Muktinath have been facing problem.
