Chairman Regmi stresses on role of ex-bureaucrats

KATHMANDU, June 15: Chairman of the Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi has said that nation building could be contributed from the use of the skills and experiences of the retired secretaries and other bureaucrats of the civil service.



At an interaction with former bureaucrats organized at Singha Durbar today by the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, he said the government has a policy of utilising their experiences in nation building. [break]



Constituent Assembly (CA) election date has been fixed for November 19 and it is the primary responsibility of the government to hold it, he said, and called on all retired employees to cooperate on their behalf.



Election will give the country an outlet and will open up door for stability and prosperity, Regmi said.



On the occasion, Minister for General Administration Madhav Prasad Poudel said the experiences of the retired employees will be utilised as the government is active in maintaining good governance, whereas Chief Secretary Leelamani Poudel said the Prime Minister´s Office was alert on using their skills for providing services to the people.



Such interaction was started from last year.
