The INSEC officials shared this at a program organized for the Human Rights Year Book, 2019 pre-review meeting in Nawalpur district. INSEC district representatives Tirtharaj Dumre shared that 14 cases of domestic violence, six deaths from the non-state actors, three of polygamy and some other cases of rights violations were reported in the district during the review period.

On the occasion, Superintendent of Nepal Police Ramesh Thapa said the issue of human rights violation could be reduced with the consortium efforts of all including civil society, political parties and the victims. He, however, admitted that the process to initiate actions against the perpetrators could be affected in a situation due to delayed reporting of the cases to the police administration due to lack of consciousness among the community members.
