Hindu groups obstruct traffic movement at Gaushala

KATHMANDU, Jan 6: Hindu rights groups have continued their protest against the dismissal of priests at holy Pashupatinath temple, for the sixt consecutive day on Tuesday. The demonstration has left traffic movement along Chabahil-Gaushala section of the road in disarray. The demonstrators, hoisting placards, have been chanting slogan against the government and demanding reinstatement of ‘sacked’ priests at Pashupatinath temple. A large number of police personnel have been mobilized at Gaushala, Pingasthan, Jayabageswori and Mitrapark areas to contain the situation. Police have asked vehicles to go through alternative routs from Mitrapark and Gaushala chowk.
