Binita, Kajal win golds
KATHMANDU: Binita Shrestha of Bijeshwari Gyan Mandir Sainik Mahavidyalaya and Kajal Shrestha of the host National Taekwondo Association won gold medals on Friday in the Second NECOS National Chess Tournament under way at the National Sports Council covered hall in Tripureshwar. In the women´s 44 kg final, Binita defeated Sandhya Singh of Udayapur. Samjhana Bhandari of Dhading and Sapana Nepali of Rupandehi finished joint third in the event.
In the women´s 46 kg category, Kajal overcame Anita BC of Rupandehi to take gold while Binita Lama of Dhankuta and Roshani Limbu of Chitwan secured bronze medals. Suja Raut of Udayapur won gold in the 42 kg category and Sushmita Tamang Magar of Chitwan in 49 kg. Amit Shrestha of Kavre clinched gold in the men´s 51 kg category.
