Manoj Mandal alias Subhas Chandra Singh, Mithila Command In-charge of the group, said that the underground outfit handed over the weapons following talks with the government. Mandal is also the outfit´s talks coordinator for holding dialogue with the government.
The group handed over eight country-made pistols, a 12-bore gun, one rifle and 12 kilos of gunpowder to the District Administration Office, Rautahat as per the agreement reached with the government during talks that it would hand over the arms to the administration.
Mandal, the group´s central vice-president Prahlad Mahara alias Toofan Singh and group´s central spokesman Bablu Khan alias Sikendra Bagi had turned up to submit the arms.
