Being public at Bhittamod at India border, chairman Sharma surrendered before the police administration with seven other cadres.
They said that they gave up the underground life and wanted a common public life with fair politics.
Also a member of the talks committee with the government, Sharma said he has given up all illegal activities.
All of them have been kept in the District Police Office, Mahottari, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sanjay Sharma.
