Mahayagya for college building

KATHMANDU, March 25: Locals at Birgha in Syangja district formed a committee to organize Mahayagya -- a religious function, starting April 24 with a plan to raise money for the purpose of constructing a building for Kaligandaki Campus at Birgha village.



Former Secretary Shankar Pandey headed the 21-member committee. [break]



Locals said they decided to collect donations from the religious ceremony as an estimated budget of 50 million rupees is needed to construct the college building.
