The Indian team won the championship with the total score of 15-over 305. Sri Lankan team comprising Arumugam Masanam and Chanaka Perera remained ahead of Delhi Golf Society´s Lakhan Singh and Prince Kajotia in count back to finish in the second place. Both the teams were tied on 307.[break]
Bangladesh ´A´ team of Mohammad Liton and Mohammad Sobhan finished fourth with a score of 314 while Nepal ´A´ team of Bikash Bogati and Tirtha Poudel remained a distant fifth on 321. Bhutan, Nepal ´B´ and Bangladesh ´B´ finished sixth, seventh and eighth respectively.
In the individual section, Indian amateur Chinnappa submitted a card of one-over 71 on Monday and took an overall two-stroke lead over Sri Lankan Masanam. Chinnapa is on the top of the leader-board with a total score of six-over 146.
Masanam, who played three-over 73 on Monday, is second with the total score of 148.
Delhi Golf Society´s Lakhan Singh and Bangladesh´s Mohammad Liton shared the third place with the total score of 10-over 150. Tirtha Poudel of Nepal carded four-over 74 on Monday and moved up to the fifth position at 14-over 154.
First round leader Ramesh Gurung had a forgettable second round display as he slipped down to the sixth position jointly with Dinesh Prajapati at 15-over 155. Gurung played 13-over 83 on Monday while Nepal No 2 Prajapati improved his performance on Monday carding five-over 77.
Nepal Golf Association is organizing the tournament under the sponsorship of Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd as a part of the Mountain Sports Festival. The tournament will conclude on Tuesday, when the top 33 and ties of the individual section will played.
