6 Nepali die, 2 injured after being buried in pile of sand in Kuwait

KATHMANDU, Feb 14: Six Nepali laborers died in Kuwait after being buried in a pile of sand and two other sustained injuries during the incident on Wednesday.

KATHMANDU, Feb 14: Six Nepali laborers died in Kuwait after being buried in a pile of sand and two other sustained injuries during the incident on Wednesday. 


Issuing a press statement on Thursday, Embassy of Nepal in Kuwait confirmed the death of six Nepali nationals. The embassy stated that four have been identified so far.

According to the embassy, the four have been identified as Ek Bahadur Gaha of Palpa, Ganga Ram Chaudhary of Siraha, Basanta Gurung of Taplejung and Shyam Narayan Chaudhary of Dang. 


Similarly, Dharmendra Kumar Shah and Manorath Mandal sustained injuries during the mishap. 


They were on duty under Al Mutlaa City Project of Universal Leaders and General Contracting Co. WLL which is about an hour drive from the embassy.
