According to the Division, the mountainous and the high-altitude hilly region of the country experienced snowfall. [break]
The weather will remain cold in the morning for few days though the weather in the mid and western regions has improved. The mercury is expected to rise after a few days, it is learnt.
According to senior meteorologist at the Division, Rajendra Shrestha, the effect of the westerly wind will remain in the eastern parts of the country.
The Division has considered 18 millimeters rainfall in Kathmandu valley during winter season as satisfactory.
