57 promoted to SSP

KATHMANDU, Nov 8: The Home Ministry has promoted 57 officers under its three security agencies to the post of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP). The ministry took the decision to this effect on Sunday but it has not officially declared the names of those promoted.



Ministry sources said 27 officers in Nepal Police , 23 in Armed Police Force (APF) and seven in National Investigation Department (NID) have been promoted.



Navaraj Silwal, Rana Bahadur Chand, Bam Bahadur Bhandari and Prakash Aryal are among those promoted in Nepal Police. Likewise, Narayan Thapa and Uttam KC are among the promoted officers in APF.
