Organizers said the garden was established with the objective of promoting banana farming in the region.
Along with the garden, statutes of two farmers, which many visitors mistook for real, also attracted thousands of visitors.
Laxmi Ghimire, one of the visitors from Mangalpur, said: "The statue confused me at first. I thought it was real.” In the previous editions of the fair, statutes of tiger and rhino were featured.
President of Banana Farmers Association Yagya Prasad Subedi said the demand for banana was increasing in Chitwan and neighboring districts.
"The demand is increasing and so is the production," he added, informing banana was being farmed in more than 1,500 bighas (1,016 hectares) of land in Chitwan.
According to Subedi, the district was earning Rs 250 million per year from banana farming alone.
