55 more people test positive for COVID-19 in Parsa

BIRGUNJ , Aug 8: As many as 55 more people tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Parsa on Saturday.


According to the medical superintendent of Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital, Dr Madan Upadhyay, 55 more people including eight females have contracted the virus. The 55 fresh COVID-19 cases include the mayor of Bahudarmai Municipality, Nitendra Sah.

Of the total 55 new cases confirmed at the Narayani Hospital on Friday night, 10 have symptoms of COVID-19. Similarly, three people from Bara and one from Sarlahi district have also contracted the virus.


Likewise, a security personnel and a hospital employee have also tested positive in the district.


Those tested positive for the COVID-19 include four each of Shreepura and Nagawa villages, two others of Murli village and one each of Birta and Resham Koti villages. The remaining others are from Birgunj Metropolitan City-6, Adarsh Nagar.
